Malaysians can showcase their appreciation and nominate teachers who have inspired them from 2 – 18 April
Anugerah Guru Inspirasi (AGI) McDonald’s returns for its fifth year to celebrate
extraordinary teachers who have gone beyond the call of duty in nurturing students.
AGI is calling for Malaysians to submit their nominations and share stories about
the teachers who have given their 100 percent in educating, shaping, and
inspiring you beginning tomorrow.
McDonald’s Malaysia through AGI is continuing
its mission to shine a spotlight on these teachers and is awarding them for
their passion and hard work. The award will be selecting 25 teachers as winners
who will receive cash prize worth RM5,000 while Malaysians who submit the winning
nominations will also be receiving a RM200 worth of McDonald’s gift vouchers as
a token of appreciation.
Since its inception in 2017, AGI has received over 17,000
submissions with more than 81 notable teachers awarded nationwide. This
McDonald’s flagship initiative seeks to show appreciation towards teachers for going
beyond their call of duty. McDonald’s wants to honour the teachers who have
not only guided
students academically but fostered minds and developed various skills through respect
and care.
In the past year, teachers all over Malaysia have quickly adapted and have shown ingenuity, resilience and strength as they navigate through these unprecedented times. They have gone above and beyond as teachers, so in recognition of their passion and effort, we want to continue celebrating them in our fifth Anugerah Guru Inspirasi. McDonald’s Malaysia is committed to making sure teachers know they are appreciated and thank them for making a positive difference in the lives of their students. Azmir Jaafar, Managing Director and Local Operating Partner, McDonald’s Malaysia.
A teacher is arguably one of the most important roles in our society as they will go on to mould young minds. Since the pandemic, their roles have become more prominent with the challenges faced during the transition to online learning. Some of these inspiring stories have showcased their dedication in nurturing students and we hope to hear more of their incredible efforts. To make sure their sacrifices do not go unnoticed, we are inviting students, parents and teaching fraternities to join us in nominating a teacher for an Anugerah Guru Inspirasi Award.
