MR6 was flagged off by the Johor Tourism Exco, YB Freddie Long.The FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship (APRC) and Malaysian Rally Championship 6 (MR6) ceremonial start was held on August 18, 2006, at Danga Bay, Johor Bahru. This race started last night and will end on August 20th. They will compete against each other stage by stage at an oil palm estate in Kota Tinggi, Kluang, and the last stage will be at Johor Bahru.
